On September 4, you will have the opportunity to hike with a small group to enjoy the magical swamp landscape with countless lakes, small pines and flowering plants. If we are quiet enough, we can listen to the cries of the cranes. We will help uncover the secrets of the swamp, and bogshoes will allow you to get to places where it would not otherwise be possible. It will also be a great opportunity to swim in the deepest lakes of the Palsu bog.
The event is held in Latvian with the possibility of translation into Russian and English.
The number of participants is limited!
Trekking boots with waterproof membrane or rubber boots are required.
Features and amenities
Duration: ~ 3 hours
Skill: easy – a hike that is usually suitable for anyone who enjoys walking. The route is usually less than 4 km. Suitable for older people and children from 6 years. This is the simplest of our itineraries and is suitable for families with children or junior high school students and those who want to experience the magic of intact marshes without special physical strength tests.
Location: at 10:30 in the parking lot near the mire footbridge.
Closing time: about 14:00
Participation fee for the hike: 20 EUR; 10 EUR (7-17. years old). Guide services and bog shoe rental are included.

On the first weekend of September every year, a Tourist Meeting is held at Ergli Station, during which Latvian tourism professionals and enthusiasts gather to demonstrate the skills of active tourism and give everyone the opportunity to try different types of active tourism. Ergli Station is a great place with a positive atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal from the chef and delicious coffee from the station manager, relax on the station’s terrace, or have a laugh and talk by the fire.
